Nice setup. Looks like the 2 I've done here in Texas.
My LT1 was the first and started this whole insanity about 3 years ago

the Hinson mounts for the LS1--->FC are MUCH better then Grannys for several reasons... engine bay space considerations, exhaust routing possibilities, design simplicity, etc.
I used the Hinson setup, pics are on my homepage...

I would like to see similar kits come out for the 240sx. I've seen the mount kits for the 3 series BMW, they're pretty damn cool.

i see, mines a 97 same car exept for headlights and stuff, but anyways, how hard is the harness ? do you have to wire it to the KA ecu or just take everything out and swap in the lt1 harness? im not sure if the ls1 and lt1 motor mounts and oil pan would be the same but is there any in particuler that you have to use, i know you have to make the mounts and all.. will the stock lt1 oil pan fit in the cross member or will i have to modify it? do you have any dimensions on the motor mounts you made? if you dont want to give it out thats cool i understand. if possible im willing to buy lt1 motor mounts of you if you will make em.
thanx

sorry to get off topic...

I've been in Darius' car... the D1 ProCharger wail is intoxicating and with little 235/17's out back they don't stand a chance with having traction at WOT below 50mph. One night we raced a bike from 50mph up to the middle of 5th gear (150mph+)... even for the first gear (3rd) and then we just pulled away from him. The m/c rider couldn't believe it.

He made 530rwhp and 580rwhp at around 4500rpm I believe.... His OptiCrap was breaking up and not allowing a clean pull in the upper RPM range.

The car has been under the knife for over 2 years getting a total makeover with an IMSA widebody kit (HRE 275/17's up front and 335/17's out back), a forged 383 stroker with good heads, and a turbo system I believe. He was going to do an F1R supercharger but changed his mind. He is adding a FAST system to control the engine as before it was a custom Eprom chip that wasn't tuned very well.

The car is essentially a race car that is streetable. It is very very quick and if you aren't careful can be very squirrely. Hopefully the wide body kit will solve some of that.

Aries,

Is one of the LT1 swaps you did a 95-96 marron color with a chevy sticker on the rear window? If so it was very nicely done. It was an all drag car pretty much and when i was down in Houston with my S14 SR (290whp) I ran him at some secluded strip on the northwest(Spring). It was quick and I took him the first run then he hit the NOS and smoked me.
I'm doind an LS1 swap right now and wanted to know a few things about the wiring. If you feel this is proprietary information then maybe I could have you do my wiring.
The only thing I am concerned with is the transmission subharness and the fuse box. Does that all have to be rewired? and also all the items that need to be disabled on the ECU so that it will run correctly.
I'll be documenting my entire swap from start to finish so that others may attempt the swap.

Thanks,

SNaylouff

I saw that race. You were granny shiftin' not double clutchin' like you should. You're lucky that hundred shot of NOS didn't blow the welds on the intake!

sorry guys to bring this back from the grave, elphkotm, how is the swap going? did Darius reply about the t56 crossmember?

i'm looking into this swap as well, i'm thinking if i can pull it off for 8k its totally worth it. i'd need at least 8k to get a 350-400 hp sr20 into my car, with a ls1, at least my 240 will be street legal =)

btw, how far does the LS1 rev up to? 6 or 7 k?
