I just pulled out the splice and connected it to the TB.

Anyone see any reason why this shouldn't work?
I capped off the steam line (but used it to burp all the air out when I was filling the radiator on my 69 LS1 Camaro. I got the idea from a guy that had a 68 LS1 Camaro that had been running for two years prior to mine and his has been capped. I capped mine and have over 6,000 miles on the car - no problems and I run the snot out of the a/c and get the motor plenty warm (live in Florida). I don't think it hurts to route it back to the pump or radiator, but at the same time my ride is living proof it will run fine capped off.

idk how diff from my tb, but ive got a 98 ls1 (fbody) and the throttle body has that nipple, but its just routed through an exit nipple in front of the tb (straight out, but under the tb). i think those tb nipples are for warming intake air on cold starts or something.

Default Steam Line

Another option for the steam line is to just get the T coupler found on the 1992 Corvette upper radiator hose. They run about $13 from GM and you simply cut your upper hose, slide it in, then route the steam line to the nipple on the coupler. My guess is GM did this vs. a whole new radiator design when they started the LT1 in the C4 - which the steam line continued in the LS series motors but those have nipples in the radiator.

I'm picking one up tomorrow and will edit this post with the GM part number.

Default Updated and Corrected LS1 Retrofit Wiring

I have corrected and updated the pdf file to show the correct A/C operation for the LS1 wiring harness. This should work for all 1999-2002 LS1 engines. Here is the pdf file attached so you can download it. All you need is Adobe 7.0 or better. hope this helps alot of people.

There are several ways to go about doing this. The most common seems to be using and external pump connected from a sumped fuel tank to a corvette filter/regulator. This allows a return back to the tank and a single fuel supply line ran to the front of the car.

On the truck intakes(might be specific years) there is both the feed and return line going to the fuel rail(duh). Theres no need for a fuel pressure regulator because its already built in to the fuel rail itself.

This leaves you with many fueling choices. You can...
A) Run an external pump to feed the feed line and a return line that goes to the tank.
B) Run an Intank pump conversion such as the Tanks Inc. setup. http://www.tanksinc.com/index.cfm/p...=prod/prd84.htm and here it is being installed http://www.thedetailzone.com/Tanks%...p%20Install.htm
C) Run a newer generation plastic fuel tank. the 96 Impala SS fuel tank is supposed to be a bolt in to A-Body cars (69-72) and with slights mods can go into a Camaro. Only problem is that the tank is quite deep.
D) Go with an aftermarket tank such as Rock Valley http://www.rockvalleyantiqueautoparts.com/ndex.htm
Since this is such a popular question I figured I would post the answer...

Corvette fuel filter commonly used in OBS conversions if you are doing a returnless type fuel rail install....
Wix 33737 www.planetautoparts.com $37.93
GM 10299146
Purolator F55493
GF1822
Hastings GF336
PGF336
GKI GF1822

Connectors required to hook to the filter...
Dorman PNs

3/8" female connector DOR-800-121 www.midwayautosupply.com $7.36
5/16" female connector DOR-800-120 www.midwayautosupply.com $7.36
3/8" x 12" double ended male connector DOR-800-155 www.midwayautosupply.com $9.57

You'll need fuel injection quality fuel hose to connect the Dorman quick connects to the old steel fuel lines. I cut both the pressure and return lines about 2" before the factory filter location. Use the rubber fuel injection hose to connect to the new filter. Use 2 hose clamps on each end of the new connections. It's best if you use the hose clamps that have a smooth stainless steel liner to protect the hose. You'll need about 6 feet of hose to connect from the filter to the fuel rail if you have an extended cab. The outlet side of the filter will require the male fitting be cut to about 4"-6" long from one end and then push it into the fuel hose and double-clamp it.

Default Good source for oddball and other small needed parts

I was reconfiguring my BMW L33 swap brake lines, and needed some M10 bubble flare unions to extend a few lines. Every place I found one online was "Jobber/Distributor Only" , one even went so far as to say "No consumer sales" (hopefully, this will come true & they will go out of business because anyone buying from them is a consumer) and they did not list where I could buy their most precious of parts. BTW, I live in a one parts house town & the selection is really limited. I also like to do things myself, because the counter guy can appreciate the car but does not understand that my Mazda has a Silverado motor, a Corvette alternator, a Camaro driveshaft, a Taurus fan...

Unfortunately the (***) "wholesale only" is an all too common occurrence of late. I classify car/product websites as either "advertisements" or places where you can actually buy/do something. BTW, I do a lot here, so LS1Tech is a "do" website .

Anyhow, I found this place. The link is to the main catalog page, which has a link to the index pages. Of interest to me was the section with pages 70-71. You will find all sorts of brake fittings, and other oddball/small stuff such as o-rings, trim clips, terminals, factory pigtail connectors, wire loom, vacuum caps, etc. that are usually needed in the process of a swap. Most have to be purchased in a kit of several items, but the prices were not too bad when I checked. You also need to do your homework before shopping here to know what you need, as there is no application guide in the PDF files.

You can also look at the actual PDF catalog files:

Electrical and hardware components part 1 or part 2 for more of this type of stuff.

This is only half the battle, since this place is an "advertisement" website:
KTI sells strictly through distributors located across the U.S., Canada and Puerto Rico . Please contact us to locate your nearest distributor.

It is always aggravating to find the 10mm fitting you need at vendor A, who does not carry the 12mm fitting you need for the other end of the part you are adapting, so you end up buying from two places and paying double shipping. With the selection this place has, you should be able to find all the small stuff and pick it up on one order.

I found one of my favorite parts houses (Rock Auto) carries most of their stuff. You input the part # w/o the KTI and it should come up, i.e. the bubble flare union is PN KTI 04028. Input 04028 in the RA search window and it comes up & you can add it to your online cart and the world is again a wonderful place .

I hope this does not qualify as a non-sponsor link since the stuff they sell is not something you can find at one of our sponsors (at least if you can, they have hidden it really well).

I just found that Autometer has adapter fittings for LS1 Metric to 1/8" NPT. Usefull for oilpressure and temp sender.

I bought one M16x1.5 > 1/8"NPT for oilpressure warning light sender.

They also have the sender, I got one that turns on the light below 18psi.

They also have the metric M12 adaptor that can be used for tempsender in the passenger side cylinder head.

Find out more here:
