Very nice

What mount did you use S&P or BRP style? Also whose LTs are you running?

Thanks for the compliments. They are BRP mounts and modified MAC midlengths.

Hey all. I did some serious CPR and brought this thing back. I wanted to update the thread now that the car is actually being used. I had finished about 85% of the swap back in 2005, but never buttoned up all the loose ends. Then marriage, a new career, moving away, and three kids happened. So the ElCo took a back seat for the next 8.5 years, being driven rarely and never completed. It sat in a hangar for the last two years.

Well it is finally back out. A brief back ground on the car.
1969 El Camino.
Magnacharged LQ4 with AFR 205's and a Lingenfelter gt2-3 cam
Speed inc. maximum evil 4L60E
Full Hotchkis TVS
17" boyds
Baer 4 wheel disk brakes
Mac midlength F-body headers
Camaro accessories
Moser 12 bolt with 3.42 gears
Speartech harness
Be Cool radiator with electric fans

When I did the swap back in 2005, there were very few kits for these swaps. I used the BRP engine mounts. The rest of the kit was useless.

The last month was spent pulling the engine/transmission to address some clearance issues and finishing most of little things I never got around to doing. As it sits, the only things left to do is plumb the AC, figure out why the tach isn't working, and install the seat belts.

Here's a few pics from today

The ELKY looks great! How did you get your coil covers to work with Maggie?

Thanks man. I did some trimming on the inside to shape them around the blower.

I finally got some new tires. The old BFG's were 11 years old and were splitting from sitting so long. It rode like crap because they were flat spotted. I went with Nitto 555's. 245/45-17 fronts and 285/40-17 rears. It drives like a different car now. Those other tires were beyond gone. I also got the new carpet in and finished the interior. I've been driving the snot out of it now. Still have a couple things to do though. The project never ends. Here's a few more pictures.

"Nitro 555's. 245/45-17 fronts and 285/40-17 rears"

The exact combination I am running on my 65 Buick Skylark. Nice ELKY. I bet it really flys with the power available.

Thanks man. I'm a fan of your Buick. What resonators did you add to your exhaust? I've got to do something with mine. It drones bad.

Well I finally got around to swapping out the rear springs. I was never happy with how low the rear sat. I swapped the 2" Hotchkis springs for 1" Hotchkis springs and put Air Lift bags in the springs. I'm much happier with how it sits now. I also had to replace a wheel stud that the tire shop boogered up. I have 2" springs if anyone wants them. Here's how it sits now.

Here's a few shots of the underside of the car

As you can see, I have a small fuel leak. I ran out of time and didn't get to it. That's for my next days off.

Looks great! Where did you get the Air Lift bags? Are they specific to your car?

Thanks! I ordered them through Summit. I believe they work for all A-bodies and some G-bodies. Here's a link to them with an application guide.

I was digging through some old stuff and finally found the dyno graph for car from 2007. It's been AWOL since I moved 6 years ago. Nothing has changed since it was dyno tuned. Just thought I'd post it up if anybody was interested.
