'98 LS1 IAT part #

Anyone have this?? And how much? I can't find mine....

GM part#12160244, they run about $15 from the dealer... And 98-02 sensors are the same.

those sensors are on alot of different vehicles...if your junkyard searching

The IAT sensor will be on the airbox somewhere, if thats what you mean by you cant find yours. The one from my stock 88 V6 airbox works fine with the LS1 pcm, even the connector from the LS1 harness will plug right in to the older sensor.

Thanks guys! I don't have the one from the LS1 car and I sold my old TPI motor complete so I guess I'll order one or get it fromt he junkyard.

*Dumb question, but I'll ask it anyways... it doesn't matter where I put it does it?? Before or after the MAF, etc, etc....

I would put it in somewhere between the air filter and the maf. Should be fine.

anywhere in the intake air stream is fine. theres sometimes a good bit of diff between air temp in the air intake, and air temp just outside of it.

Also, the Helms manual show the wrong part # for the IAT.

MM98 gave you the correct one.

Still regret buying those Helms manuals.

If you want a good source for part#'s, go on Ebay and buy you a CD ROM for $3.00. It covers all years from 93-02. It consists of about 2,400 microfiche. I use mine all time, even help people on LS1TECH when they need part#,s. Best $3.00 I ever spent.
