Thumbs up LS1 Throttlebody To MAF Elbow w/IAT Provision?

Is there a GM 90 degree throttle-body(4" diameter) to stock MAF(3 1/2" diameter) elbow that I can order, that has a provision for the AIT(air intake temperature) sender? Sort of like the LT1 elbow with the ribbed outer surface, but I know that one won't work because of the oval-shaped end. What would the part number be? I think I have the part number written down somewhere, for the proper K & N cone filter. Thanks in advance. Gar

If that's the style of elbow you need, then the 1LE LT1 elbow IS what you want. The oval shaped end forms a perfect circle and fits the LS1 TB perfectly.

The 1LE version eliminates the hideous noise suppressor tube, which allows you to use the elbow going either direction (towards the drivers side or towards the passenger side).

It's PN 25147210 and comes with the IAT sensor.

Here's what it looks like on an LS1 (my old setup):

Or the 2004 GTO one. (I don't have the part number handy but it's somewhere in this section, if you search for it.)

Thumbs up WOW! John...That's The One!

Thanks for the fast response! Question? Does it come "with" the IAT, or does it come with a provision(hole) for the IAT? If it does not come with it, whats the correct one for a stock 2001 LS1? Thanks again, Gar

Default smooth boot....

if you want a smooth boot 4" x 3.5" will go either way (passenger or drivers) look at some of the 944 customer pics on this web site.

The IAT sensor is included with the elbow.

I just drilled a hole a little smaller than the sensor (I bought from murrys) and just forced the sensor into the hole(I believe it was 3/8" drill bit). Its a pretty tight seal, and even if a minute amount of air does go though (even though I dont see it happening) its before the MAF so it will still be metered. Does anyone see any problems with this?

I bought a hi-temp rubber 90 degree elbow from www.atpturbo.com and it is 4'' diameter on one end and 3.5'' diameter on the other end and it was damn inexpensive and its smooth too, no ribs!
you can fit the IAT sensor in anywhere you want to drill a hole along the intake path

Thumbs up Thanks everyone...

Quite a few good leads for people to choose from. I ordered the ribbed job, with the built-in IAT sensor that SpearTech John used. Now the next step in the intake puzzle...I have read on this board that the oil from the K & N cone filters can create havoc with the sensor wires in the MAF on occasion. Would a less expensive paper cone filter be the answer. If yes, where's a good source for this type. Or...Is the trick, to go ahead and use the K & N, just be stingy with the oil? Thanks in advance. Gar
