Default is this stretching it?

do you think it would be possible to install a dash assembly from a 98-02 f-body into a 1966 el camino? not just the gauges but the entire dash.how much fabrication do you think there will be? i know i have seen another car on here that had it done....i think it was either a first gen or second gen camaro....

Anything is possible with the right amount of time, fabrication skills and money. More than likely you will be able to fit it with just some mild notching and/or fabrication.

give it a shot.

you can plastic weld it maybe, or smooth it and paint it.

On my car I used the 99 firewall and had to space the dash back 6 inches because the older cars had a longer wheel base. I also welded the sheet metal that fits under the dash into my car. You can see where the vents had been lengthened 6 inches to get the AC to work. All wiring is from 99 Z28.

the second gen car has a longer wheel base than the 4th gen. and the driver sits back about 6" further because of it. so i had to lengthen everything that comes into contact with the driver 6" {steering column,AC vents, shifter, pedals} this is because i had the 99' firewall in the car if you dont use the 99' firewall you dont have to worry about this
goodluck,
