Default wiring harness mod how to?

maybe this is wishful thinking, but is there a site that shows you what exactly to delete from your wiring harness? i know speartech can do it, but im hoping to save some money. i figure ill have the pcm reprogramed by them, but id be willing to try modding it myself if i had a referrence site and a how to for my dense ***.

maybe ill try to make sense of all the info on this site, and take lots of pictures, and make my own site.

that's exactly what you do... eliminate waht you don't need out of the harness and pcm plugs. it's very time consuming but it won't cost you a penny. go to alldatadiy.com and get a subscription to the vehicle that your harness and pcm are coming from to find out what each wire is for. i knew nothing about fi and ls1's and it was a big help.

We just put this up yesterday, courtesy of DV:

www.ls7power.com/diagrams

You will find the files are named accordingly. I hope that helps and try to get those photos up once you splice/cut your harness. It would be great to try and help some people who want to DIY and save some money.

I modded a factory underhood harness
kept connectors 100/101/105 to plug into the factory engine/trans harness
https://ls1tech.com/forums/conversions-swaps/99135-finished-my-underhood-wiring-harness.html

then I removed all the junk from the engine harness
egr/air/evap/fuel tank pressure

wait4meperformance.com charges 300 for your harness to be reworked, and a computer programing. thats 450 less then speartech. anyone used them? how was the work? was it a true plug and play?

I thought that it was only 750 from speartech if you had a complete harness made, thought it was less than 500 to have a harness reworked. I did my own harness, but I did have wait4meperformance do my computer tune. My motor started right up, and I have not had any check engine lights or any other problems. I did have a check engine light when I first tried to drive it, but that was all trans codes, my fault I had a bad relay . I am happy with the tune and with the other help he gave me.

speartech charges 750 for a program and wire harness rework. wait4meperformance charges 300 for it.with that 450 saved i could buy alot of other needed parts.
