Re: Who has a hybrid LS1?
I know of three hybrids in the Houston area. One guy has a custom heads/cam/vortech LS1 installed in his Porsche 911 (late 80s model) and that thing looks factory! The guy that bought my spare LS1 motor from me installed it in a 65 El Camino, and there is another guy driving around in a 67 Chevelle with an LS1 in it.
Cool cars!

Re: Who has a hybrid LS1?
A guy showed up to our car show this past summer that had a T56/LS1 combo in his 87' yellow Iroc Z. The car was sweet too, roll cage and all!

Re: Who has a hybrid LS1?
I have a LS1 in my 1998 S10 ZR2 P/U. I have had it in for about 16 months and have put over 25,000 miles on it. It made 291 HP / 318 TQ on the chassie dyno on the Hot Rod Power Tour in 2001 with 31" tall tires. It ran 145 MPH on the dyno at 6000 rpm in 3rd gear.

Most people would assume its the 305 or 350 old style under the hood...wait until you do heads cam, or throw a blower on that...

BIGBOS, the Stage II heads will be finished and available for pick-up by the end of the month
I will be fabricating the headers for installation at the same time of the heads go on so I plan to see huge gains in the power levels shortly

Re: Who has a hybrid LS1?
Here in the Eugene area we have a guy installing an LS1/turbo 400 combo into a Jeep CJ-7 4X4. Hes doing heads/cam package before motor even goes in, and a 150 shot of gas!!! It is for use in the sand dunes, so all you jeep guys that run on the Oregon dunes.....WATCH what you are lining up against!!!
