Conversion folks please list your conversion in here
1) Vehicle receiving the swap: 1962 Chevy II Nova 2 door hardtop, black out, red in, TCI front clip, ps, pb, ac.
2) Your new combo: 1998 Camaro SS LS1, Muncie 4 speed
No pictures yet but just about to put the engine in. The clutch setup has been a bit of a challenge being a Chevy II but finally have it. Yes I am using a Muncie, thought it could make me feel like I was young again. After figuring the Vehicle Speed Sensor adaptation and clutch setup out maybe I should have kept the 6 speed! If you want to know how I did the clutch setup and the VSS I am glad to share. It will be cool when it is done.
LS1TECH has been very helpful, thanks everyone.

1991 Mazda RX-7 with recent heart transplant. A LS1 and t-56 from an '01 Camaro now provides a STRONG american heartbeat. Dyno results are 351hp at the rear wheels. Recently completed Hot Rod Power Tour. This is a combination some manufacturer should have built!
I'm almost done with the conversion, (will post pics soon) but I cranked the engine last night trying to build up oil pressure and the needle never budged. It's got a new slp oil pump, should i be cranking it trying to prime it, or should I just start it and expect it to pump?

Did this back in 2002.
About a 2 year project:
1993 XJ-
LQ9 from Lingenfelter-
9 inch rear- dana 44 front- 4.56/detroit softs-
Atlas 4.0/1 T-case-
Performance Automotive 700r4 Mega Raptor with Torque Drive-
Adjustable lift suspension with a Custom Long arm kit-
Custom BeCool Radiator and custom Dakota Digital guage cluster are some of the features.
Truck turned out nice. It was our first experience doing an LS type conversion in a jeep.

Not really a conversion yet, but with many hours searching this site and hybridz.org I ordered the parts today. Still some things to figure out but here are the big pieces
1970 Datsun 240Z, 4 wheel disc conversion, mildly buffed suspension. Otherwise stock IRS with 3.7 open diff.
Soon to add::
LS 364/440 Crate Engine
http://www.paceparts.com/index.asp?P...&ProdID=178558
Shorty style headers (space is a premium)
https://shell7.tdl.com/~jags/Pages/P...1-Headers.html
Brand new TKO600 5 speed
Keisler engineering LS to GM bellhousing and hydraulics
LS7 clutch and flywheel
Carb:: Maybe 750 Holley DP with mechanical secondaries and manual choke?
Mallory Comp 110 fuel pump and regulator with 1/2" feed and return
Plan is to get the engine fit and car driving. After a year or so of restrained street driving, pull the engine, strengthen the chassis and drivetrain and paint the car. The flexy old 240 isn't going to know what to do with all this torque. Will probably do a cam and some other performance upgrades depending how much the car with an off the shelf engine scares me.
Found this site incredibly useful so far.
