Ooops I thought I could simply put a fuel pump and fuel filter on the fuel line and that would be sufficient. If I understand what I just read, the fuel system is internally regulated within the tank so I'd need an external regulator. I currently use something like this on my 5.0L Mustang. I.e. manifold vaccum adjusts the regulator on the rail. Could the LS1's rails be modified similarly? Recommendations? Also does the PCM in any way adjust the regulator or the fuel pump? Can I or should I be modifying this as well? How? thanks,

I am using the 99+ Corvette fuel filter / regulator. It is one relatively small cylinder with one inlet and two outlets. One outlet for pressure, one for return. I think it was around $55.00. I am going to run mine in the engine compartment, as my BMW has pressure and return lines running up into the engine bay. This way, there will only be about 18" between the regulator and the rail.

Is anyone using the '98 2 line version of the fuel rail?
I assume that I just need to hook the pump up to the inlet and run the return back to the tank. All of the regulation is taken care of by the regulator on the fuel rail.
Is this correct?
If so, it'll be one of the few things about this swap that is simple <img border="0" title="" alt="[Roll Eyes]" src="images/icons/rolleyes.gif" />
Thanks,
Perry

Yes, that's correct. If you have the 97-98 Corvette fuel rail, you simply hook up the feed and return lines. Everything is taken care of by the regulator in the fuel rail.

What is the pros and cons of having diffrent regulaters and fuel systems such as:
Camaros have in tank fuel regulator
Corvettes use filter regulator
early camaros, regulater on the fuel rail .
