Default anyone using a ls2 waterpump?

which tensioner works with the rest of the c5 accs.? The c5 tensioner sets closer and won't align with the rest of the c5 accs. Its about 1/4 inch off.

I'm using an LS-2 pump, I had to pull the pump pulley forward on the shaft about 1/4" to make it align with my accessories. I'm running all F-body stuff including the tensioner but the alignment would be the same. I have 6000 miles on it since I installed the LS-2 pump and absolutely no problems with it.

i need to replace my 98 water pump soon, as it leaked a little bit when I fired the engine...probably a bad seal from sitting for so long. But anyways, is there an advantage to the ls2 pump?

LS-2 Pump.......is supposed to be "low mass" according to the Corvette Engineering blurb I got, I don't know that it flows any different but it has a much lighter rotating assembly weight.

I had to pull my pulley out at least 1/2" (maybe a little more) to get it to line up with f-body accessories.

Biggest advantage I've seen is pulley shape. Its a considerable bit shorter (from block face to tip of pulley) than the LS1 pumps. But that's only an advantage if you're pressed for space.

I used my Snap-On three jaw puller, no heat. It moved fairly easy which is why I put a tack weld inside the pulley to the shaft. That's probably a no-no but after 9000 hard miles it's still functioning perfectly.
