i had it running awhile back... not sure when, maybe early june? and yes, it had quite a miss to it... very noticable while driving/accelerating, turns out it was a bad coil or two. swapped to MSD coils awhile back and cleared my airbox more for the fuel rail cover. so far ive over 2000 miles on it!
i still have the stock rad and it cools great. i had it up in the mountains in hot weather and its never been higher than 200°F

anyone know if, or how well handheld tuners work with an LS1 S10? if they do work, what one would allow me to:
1. recalibrate speedo/ shift timing (I'm pretty sure they all do that)
2. change fan ON temp... ( think they all do that too...)
3. remove AIR pump trouble code (I dont have the pump in the truck and I want that light OFF permanently!)

almostfast.. you could get a hold of hypertech or superchips and ask them directly... you know, do some research. i know that hptuners works great and allows you to change tons, doesnt sound like what youre looking for though
havent weighed it yet, Jody... but i should hey? lighter than the 4.3!!

ahh... this truck hates me!
took it for a drive today, and it drives fine if you were going for gas mileage, but when you step on it, it cant make up its mind if it wants to kickdown and go or if it doesnt... it gets like 40% through it and then it goes back up a gear... I really dont know what to look for now... it fights the whole swap, and then for months after its done... jeez neverending battle
anyone know what might make it do this?

[QUOTE=Sabre002]So has anyone done a Turbo 5.3 truck motor in a 91 bodys style S-10 I'm thinking about doing this to mine. But I would like to keep AC so I'm not sure if I will be able to use the truck manifolds in the budget turbo system on this site.
Hey Sabre I have a 91 shortbed with a 5.3 you can keep the a/c after you notch the frame rail the truck accessories work if you sit the motor to the rear I'm not familure with that turbo setup but the truck manifolds don't fit at all use the f body manifolds or sanderson headers like I did they fit great and look way better then manifolds

Well got the new cooling fans in and decided to clean up and take some new pics of the LS1 S10. Its the first time I have shined it up, cause smoking the tires just makes it dirty so damn fast!! So its finally done and home. Now for the never ending tweaking and toying

problem found... fuel pump blew the intank connection hose to $#!+... now i need another hose that will handle the 58psi, and will last while submerged in gas...
oh and nice job Jhankinson... looks good... and yours has fuel pressure

No..since I am running a LS1 program I dont have that issue. I talked to Jared at CPW and he mentioned to me about the differences in truck vs Fbody programs and that was one of them. Have you tried to talk to him. Sometimes he takes a while to get back to you...but he knows his stuff. I am sure there has to be a way to change it away from serial data.

Hey, thanks. No, I haven't talked to him. It's getting cool here now, so I'll probably take my time getting to it. I was also wondering if HPTuners might be able to change that requirement.
