i still have the stock rad and it cools great. i had it up in the mountains in hot weather and its never been higher than 200°F
1. recalibrate speedo/ shift timing (I'm pretty sure they all do that)
2. change fan ON temp... ( think they all do that too...)
3. remove AIR pump trouble code (I dont have the pump in the truck and I want that light OFF permanently!)
havent weighed it yet, Jody... but i should hey? lighter than the 4.3!!
took it for a drive today, and it drives fine if you were going for gas mileage, but when you step on it, it cant make up its mind if it wants to kickdown and go or if it doesnt... it gets like 40% through it and then it goes back up a gear... I really dont know what to look for now... it fights the whole swap, and then for months after its done... jeez neverending battle
anyone know what might make it do this?
Hey Sabre I have a 91 shortbed with a 5.3 you can keep the a/c after you notch the frame rail the truck accessories work if you sit the motor to the rear I'm not familure with that turbo setup but the truck manifolds don't fit at all use the f body manifolds or sanderson headers like I did they fit great and look way better then manifolds
