1. go to photobucket.com and host your pics there
2. go into the picture you want in the album and click the IMG code (there will be like three different ones, but IMG is the right one...)
3. it will say "copied"
4. go to your post and put the cursor where you want the picture, then press CTRL and V at the same time
5. see...

I'm installing a 4.8 into my '92. Do I need this setup?
Will the factory 4.8 accessories not clear in my truck?

98-99 F-Body manifiolds? Or will any year LS1 manifolds work?
And what are people doing for a y-pipe behind F-body manifolds?

98-99 will only fit with mods to the flanges....and the Y-pipe...exhaust shop takes care of it when you get exhaust done...or fab one up yourself.

Has anybody tried the f-body oil pan? It looks similar to the LS2 pan, but can be had for cheaper. I thought I saw somewhere where somebody tried this. I searched this thread, but the only info I see is for the LS2 and truck pans.

Yep. 98-99 fbody manifolds cut off the flange and weld on extensions. I used v-flanges to connect to homemade y-pipe. Muffler shop can also expand pipe over the extensions and put band clamps on the overlap. 7 bucks for nice clamps at truck shop. Truck accessories can fit. Its tight on the alternator though. Delete the purge solenoid and engine cover and you can use the truck intake. Must notch for AC compressor in original location. Must notch for truck pan except in 4x4 Blazer with front differential removed like mine. Good luck with yours.

hey eagleuh1, is that the Snuggle fabric softener bear in the first pic?

Nice work on the y-pipe - I plan to do exactly the same thing on mine.

Whats the best way to delete the purge solenoid off of the truck intake? Mine is hitting my hood when it closes and i think is causing a vacume leak....

Interesting idea. I need to convince the wife that I
need to get myself a welder in the real neat future..

Will the stock truck PS pump and brackets work okay?
I think the theory has been using a Corvette PS setup,
but maybe that's only if you're using a real LS1 engine?

Does anyone have a pic of the crossmember notched?
I'm curious how much is actually needed to be cut out?
The theory is an LS2 pan will require a little less cutting?

Brentg454, no, thats not the Snuggle fabric softner bear, thats my dogs surregate sex partner, when no females around, well, you get the idea. Right there its just propping up the metal box so my manifolds dry faster. The dog was real worried for a while.

So has anyone done a Turbo 5.3 truck motor in a 91 bodys style S-10 I'm thinking about doing this to mine. But I would like to keep AC so I'm not sure if I will be able to use the truck manifolds in the budget turbo system on this site.

Here is the truck

Can anybody tell me what all is needed to swap in the T-56? I have the tranny already but do I need the master and slave out of an F-body? If so are there certain years that have less problems than others? I thought I read somewhere that the 98-99 are prone to problems?

Thanks for the pics of notching as well, I am putting an LS2 pan on mine as well
