My turck has the full zq8 suspension and wheel package. I put a set of two inch blocks in the rear to level it out. Has anyone seen how a set of 245/50/16 tires would like with this combo. I haven't even seen it with a stock tire since the rims are still in the boxes waiting for me to decide on wht rubber size to use on it. I am really leaning towards the BFG KDWS for their Z speed rating. I just am not sure with a tire this short if the wheel well would like a cavern or pretty good. If you have some ideas shoot em. This week the exhaust is getting put on. After that I have a ton of pictures to put up. Oh this is an extended cab stepside.

Nope, just some homade slapper bars and stock leafs..I do want to try a set though if it doesnt hook with the motor upgrades if ive get e-nuff power next year i WILL 60' 1.20s on a 275 drag radial!!!! Im just worried how bad the cage will upset how the truck works, the cage will weigh about 140ish so i want to loose that much up front so a man. rack and areospace brakes are next....

We had a set of slide a links to go on it but I've seen some pics of what they've done on higher power setups on 1st gen f bodies and novas and stuff. So we are sending them back and putting caltracs on it. Thats what I run on my Lightning as well.

Using an ls 2 pan and trans dapt mounts. Mine wound up with about a 1/4 inch from the back of the head to the A/c case. I set it as far back as I could and in the middle of the engine about two inches to the left of the oil pressure sending unit there is about three inches to the firewall. I have about 3/4 of an inch from the coil on the drivers side by the brake booster. I am using the round truck coils. I sat mine down as low as I could go. With it set right there the tie rod clears the fron of the oil pan by about an 1/8 of an inch when you turn the wheel hard left. I notched the **** out of the crossmember for the pan and to clear the compressor. I am running all vet accessories. I used the tiny starter from an 04 up FS chevy truck and it has tons of room around it.

Any of the gm starters will work the newer one is just a more compact design than the older ones. Not sure on a part number I found mine in a salvage yard off of a truck with about 300 miles on it.

I scored a great deal 35.00 on an 02 zq8 steering box with 13K friday. For those of you who have gone from the stock box to the quick ratio was there a noticeable difference in road feed back and overall feel of the vehicle etc. I just got it put on a few mintues ago.

One other question just to see where most people sit. I have built many engine harness' before... So, running short on time and patience and money is also running thin. I have my 02 6 cyl harness and an 02 f body engine harness I can extend the pcm connections and lay the two harness into each other and make it every bit as turn Key as CPF harness. Should I do it or just put a turn key harness on my paid off credit card and be done with it.

take the 02 harness, seperate all the sensor wires from eachother, then extend the wires to meet up with the pcm and repin it
