I was kicking around just modifying a set of 98 manifolds. Since the swap headers are shorty's anyway do you think there will be much of a noticable difference between the headers and manifolds. All of mine will be street miles on long trips with cruise and air and no track time. Just trying to save a few bucks and get it done at the same time.

Very little difference between 1 5/8 shorty headers and manifolds IMHO.That being said I went with with headers cuz they look better (coated, lower temps) and I didn't want to deal with the hacking up the manifolds. If you are a good welder its cheaper to use the manifolds and save a couple $100.

Yeah welding is not a problem $is though. I was looking at current perf and he as a pretty good deal on teh mount and header combo but I want a set of coated headers and that adds a chunk of change. He has the mounts and headers listed for 327$ but I think that is for the uncoated ones. Does anyone know one way or the other if they are coated.

can anyone answer if they have fast fuel rails set up for their fuel lines?

P.S. do you think if I upgrade to bigger injectors, i should do the fuel pump at the same time?

so we got the truck back last night, he made a new tranny crossmember, shifted the motor a bit to get it up in there, and help clear the headers on the steering shaft a little more. I didnt get a chance to get any pics of it yet, but i will soon. I also painted the wheel wells with a krylong gloss black enamel paint and some of the core support (what will be visible) so ill have pics of that and them back in the truck tomorrow

18x10 in the back with a 305-45-18 nitto555r. It rubs when pushing it hard around corners.

No you need one from a newer vette. It has to be the returnless fuel system. I think it started in 99 but not 100% sure. I got one for a 2002 just to be safe. Sorry bout that...one of us using it should have been more specific.

Deez how do you like those Nittos? I'm running the BFG KDW the flame tread 245/45-18 in the front and 285/40-18 rear well they are gonna need to get replaced this year and I'm looking into new sizes and maybe a new brand. BFG doesn't make at least the rear size you listed. what are you running in the front?

has anyone had a factory harness rework done by speartech on a 6.0l harness? I have a few problems, being that its still set up to run across the top of the manifold, im missing my tranny and alternator hookups and the injectors seem backwards (unless passenger side is 1 3 5 7)
