s10 ls1ers
Thanks,
Ben

I'll start by saying that we have hooked up a snap-on diagnostic computer to the OBDII port and the only codes it was giving were things like o2 sensors not being right (because they aren't even in there yet...I don't think they stop the engine from running though)
as for VATS, the computer said ANTI THEFT:OFF, i dont know if that is indeed VATS, though...
Here are the wiring numbers, etc. that we have hooked up together right now:
Pin 59 on the S10 computer circuit 1049(Black side of computer)>>attached to>>Pin 58(Blue side)LS1 computer(this is a dark green wire) I'm not positive that is the correct hookup, but it seemed right, seeing as they were both circuit 1049, dark green wire...
As for the mystery wire, it is a yellow wire (circuit 710) that formerly went to the black side of the s10...it was used for serial data...maybe I am not looking for the right thing, but in all the schematics we have, there is only one serial data pin on the entire LS1 computer...leaving no room for this one.
if I didn't mention: Truck is 2001 LS with 2.2 4l60e and LS1 is 2000 T/A with 4l60e as well...
which gauges arent working? it sounds like you have more problems than just the engine not staying running...
oil press...definitely didnt work...
temp gauge...umm, it doesnt run long enough to determine if that works or not...
voltage gauge may have worked also, but its been a week or two since it was started, so I cant remember. The main concerns that I have are the oil pressure gauge, and getting the odometer and shift indicator to work...those dont even turn on.
On the oil pressure note, what are LS1's supposed to have for an oil pressure range?? I heard that it was like 6 psi @1000 rpm and 25 psi @4500 rpm...
(next time im definitely paying someone else to wire it...live and learn...)
