Default what do i need to install a ls1 into a 69 camaro

Just looking into it, but i was wondering what all would it take to install an ls1 into my 1969 camaro?

Olly, do you have another link to this? I tried to open it but it does not work. I am looking to do the same swap sometime this winter, want to get all the research done first though. If anyone has anyother info. then please send it my way. Till then I will be searching.

The car the OP owns isn't worthy of an LS1. I've do have one mean 4.3 I'll allow you to put in that '69 though. Just an offer, let me know. lol

Whoa thats an old post. Stoner the saturn would eat your 4.3. You've got nothing. As far as this swap goes I'm looking at a ls1 long block out of a 04 gto. Already have a 98 trans am tranny. any problem with bolting these up and using a mechanical clutch linkage? I've got Mcleods bell housing. Any way I could still use my stock gauges (I couldn't find that out in the link, maybe I missed it?).
