Default Where do you put your PCM in your Conversion project?

hi, im working on putting an LS1 in my 67 Camaro, my dashboard is pretty cramped with ducts and so on behind it, where do you mount your PCM in your cars? would be great with some pictures. Im keeping the stock coupe Fan and ducts.

Here is a picture of mye glove compartment.

I have mine up inside my driver side fender well. They are pretty weather resistant I'm told. Just make sure you mount them with the plug either down or to the side so it will drain if any water should get in there. I built a bracket to hold the TAC for my ETC throttle there as well. Here are a couple pictures. Edit: Sorry for the giant pictures, I did not think they would come in that big.

Thanks for the pic and the help, not a bad idea, and you hide it away nicely to, but it would be nice if i didnt have to lengthening the stock wiring harness im using to.

i took the heater anc ac out of my chevelle and mounted it with all the wires on the inside of the firewall... using some asas rollbar mounts

You might want to consider the placement of the C4/C5 Corvette PCM behind the front right wheel as a good indicator of what they can take.

My Beretta's ECU was under the glove box mounted vertically. When I disassemble the C5 this weekend I'll see if the pigtail will extend inside the car again.

Better for weight balance ratio front-to-rear.

I have mine on the backside of the passneger's wheel well, mounted down low near the frame. Pretty well tucked away. I can take some pics if anyone is interested.

thanks for all the replies, keep them coming, maybe there is not only that have this question, its so cramped under the dashboard right now, so i think ill consider having it in front of the firewall.
