I work for the prime contractor United Space Alliance, which is a joint venture between Lockheed Martin and Boeing,

we do the crew module stowage for the astronauts, we put in all the equipment, food, clothes, tools, equipment, experiments, it equals to 5K to7K lbs thats used in space, from toilet paper to the EMU's(extra vechicular mobility units) think space suits,

but since this is the 2nd to the last mission, we're down to 6 people, and we have to do 24 hr coverage when were in the count, launch +40 hrs, cool job, with not much future,

ask questions, I can answer them been doing this for 23 yrs,

no Aries! Omama killed it, aint he great!!!

Looks like Lockheed will build a capsule and put it on a Delta rocket, or Elon Musk Omama's #1 supporter will get the nod to put people on his rocket, but he wont' employ people from FL, he brings his own from CA,

These days no ones job is safe. I never thought the space program would ever be in trouble. I hope things make a turn around for you guys. I figure with all the fuel you guys burn for take off the greedy bastards in Washington with their hands in the oil companies would love you guys. Hopefully ya'll can get by for two more years and we vote in a Republican. I tried last time but guess my vote was one of many.

Alright enough politics, wheres the picture of the subframe you want to use or have you reconsidered? I figure with all of the time and effort you have in the current subframe it was a keeper. We all need to get together and figure this thing out. I have a Bridgeport J-head mill, a 13" lathe, Hydrualic feed surface grinder and several other items we should be able to come up with something, right? What if we make a bracket like the V/A frontrunner for a decent price? It almost makes me want to go buy a spare block and start. If we could pull that one off it would generate some great income.

I have tried everything to post a pic but it wont work, it a custom by a guy in KS, his name is Scott Mock, he had a blue Sunoco 69 Camaro that he raced, car handled great,

The sub is made in his shop, he's a welder by trade, he is building it this week and then getting it powder coated, I just need a rack and some C5/6 upper and lowers, coilovers and its done, this will take car of the small wheel problem on the front I can now run a 10" wheel, the A/C will fit along with the engine plates and all my other parts,

I really started to look at my sub the other day, I dont think its cut out for what I want to do with the car, it will now find a new home under the Nova, or I could just sell everything off,

I'll get Scott to post a pic in here, Now to find some C5/6 parts!!!!!!

It's on the way to the powder coaters,

sourcing C6 suspension parts, and a rack, finding parts!

I know this builds not as exciting as everyone elses, but it's the best I can do for what I have!!!

Your build is light years ahead of mine in areas. Your doing the complete package all at once. I will be refering back to your build for years to come as I will upgrade my car a little at a time. I do wish you post more pics as they can be helpful at times. Other than that your right on time my man!!!

Amen to that Steve...NASA has had it's head up it's *** for the last few years! Alot of my guys that work for NASA or USA are now looking at coming back on active duty (we are Reservists). Also, with the STS program going away, I have 2 crews of helo guys + maintainers that might be out on the street too.

Politics suck!

Just purchased the left side suspension from a Vette recycler and the rack from Auto Zone, small success today!! Looking to go to ***** to the wall build time when everything gets here!!

Thats true T, What about the Dyna Corps guys, any jobs there?? Even though NASA has had there head up there ***, so has USA, bidding on contract againts the parent companys, using the wrong people to bid contracts, it's just a mess, and there is almost no drive to even do any work,

I have come to terms with it, and will work like I have a job till the end!

Steve,

DynaCorp is hiring like gang-busters! they are plussing up their aviation dept and will soon be flying alot more aircraft out of Patrick than my guys do! Here is the website. http://www.dyncorprecruiting.com/ext/subpage.asp hit the "submit" button and it will open every job they have available around the world!

Just look thru the myriad of positions and apply for what tickles your fancy. Alot of positions opening at Patrick if you are not the "adventurous" type! Good luck amigo!

The job is over, after 23 yrs, we will be leaving July 22nd, but I have lines on 3 other jobs, I'm not really worried, all I have is a mortgage, now on to more important stuff!!!

Subframe will be back from the powder coaters on Wednesday and then on it's way to FL on Thursday, waiting on parts to be shipped,

just thought I'd throw up a little update,
