If im not mistaken ,im new on this forum and I also am doing the same kind of build,Im also going to be using an ls6 intake but I went to the junkyard and there was a2002 tahoe in there with a 5.3 and it had blockoff plates in the rear and a tube going from left to right not under the intake,is this what your looking for because the vehicle was definitely all stock,I dont know much about the ls series motors but I thought this might help if u didnt know this already, and keep up the good work

Camara batteries are dead, and none to be found, buy them on the way home,
The frame stands are on, the motor is sort of installed, it looks like with the ATS plates flipped it looks like the oil pans will be sitting on top of the frame and centerlink, not good so far, I think I can solve my problems if I buy the VA Front Runner for LS motors it mounts the A/C compressor next to the passenger side cylinder head, but it very expensive, I'm going to move some stuff around later today and see what I need to do for the propper fitment, fun!!!

Yeah I looked at the Vinatge Air Front Runner and its a beautiful piece! But your right on the price. It doesnt look like it would be that hard to make with the proper equipment and alot of measuring. You could always go with the Kwik bracket. Its not as appealing but with a little dressing up might do the trick. Reasonably priced as well. Less than $200!!

Congrats on the wedding!!! I am sure it will be great.
So you moved the engine forward to accommodate for the A/C compressor correct? I know you dont want to run the compressor up top but with all of the other issues with the engine forward it seems you either need to run it up top or find a smaller compressor. It seems you are a solid 3 inches forward from just the standard location. Your doing all of the suspension upgrades a man could ask for but are moving the center of gravity farther from the middle of the car? I think you need to cut the firewall out set the engine back about 5 inches forget about the A/C and lets turn this car into a canyon carver.

Steve, you have your ATS plates on backwards and upside-down. Rotate them over so they look like this:
That should get your engine in the right position. Hopefully the AC clears for you.
You may need to raise the car up so you can stab the engine at more of an angle.
Also unbolt your ac compressor mounts so you don't damage them while stabbing the engine.
