Default Ls6 383 Powered Miata

Well, I finally got the engine back together and in the car. I just put 150 miles over the weekend. All I can say is OH MY GOSH!!!! It pulls harder as well as it hits harder. I Cleaned up under the hood too!!!!

Enjoy the Pics.

How hard was the whole process? My wife has a 92 Miata and we've been discussing various ideas to give her more power and this is certainly one of them
SO how bout I drive the car with a donor motor up to ya and you do the swap for me

and what is the rear in there..certainly not the stock one..right???

The 383 has stage 1 ls6 heads and a tr224/114 cam. Small yes.....bigger would yield more power. The rear is a t-bird 7.5 3.27:1 posi rear. The conversion started in June 5/04, but I had about 8 months of down time. Its a hard conversion, it tested my skill and patience.

Wow, That is just a fantastic install! Where did you find that long intake tubing? Is it flexible? I need some of that.
