LS1 into a TT 300ZX
I know somebody who has a 1993 TT 300ZX with a spun bearing. Car has 130k. He recently had the stock turbos rebuilt, new Greddy intercoolers, new clutch, and a completely rebuilt suspension with all kinds of aftermarket parts. Body is clean, no rust, never hit. Paint is the orginal pearl white and has a nice shine, but lots of rock chips on the front. Clean interior. He wants $2500 for the car as it sits now.
What if I pulled the stock V6 and swapped in an LS1? Would it be possible for the LS1 to fit and hook up the stock turbos? I'm thinking it would require a set of custom exhaust manifolds. I'm really hesitant to do this though since the engine bay in that car is so damn tight.

The LS1 can fit into the 300zx. There was a guy in Tampa years back that did the swap. IIRC, he owned his own shop and said he had something like 200 hrs into it.
Good luck with the project!

The Z actually looks easier to work on with the LS1 engine.

you can do anythnig if you can fabricate stuff.
the upgraded turbos for a vg would probably work great on a ls1, but i doubt youd be able to keep the exhaust or anything, youd need to fabricate oil lines, chargepipes, exhausts, turbo mani's, and the obvious mounting equip for lsjuan, and possibly a driveshaft as well, but that would be a great swap if you have the resources.

If you really wanted turbo, it would be easier all around to go single turbo LS1.
