What size is the clutch master cylinder?

I believe the bore is 3/4" and the stroke is 1"

Why do you want a bigger master? That will increase pedal effort and decrease travel.

70 ls1...... after installing a spec stage 2 clutch with the shim and a new flywheel, I am barely getting complete disengagement of the clutch with the pedal on the floor. A master cylinder with a bigger bore would push more fluid to the slave for the same given amount of stroke and thereby give me more slave travel and disengage my clutch before the pedal hits the floor.

do you have it adjusted all the way out? (if you have an adjustable m/c, that is).. or maybe change the way it mounts? I had to work on a few different setups till mine dis-engaged.. (i've got a RAM VDS).. and are ALL the bubbles out of the hydraulic system?

I still have the stock mc and yes I did a VERY complete job of bleeding it. Right now Spec is sending me a 2nd shim to put behind the slave. This will be the 4th time I have had the trans down and am getting tired of it.

that sucks. its pathetic that they need shims.. shims sound like "hack job" to me.. and shims shouldnt cost $20.. I'm gonna avoid spec in the future.
