Default 98 guages vs 99+
Are the 98 Guage cluster pinouts different from the 99+ guage clusters?
I know the PCM is different, so thats why I am asking. Thanks.

Not sure there. I think I remember reading something like that. I know the 99 & 00's are the same.

Temp gauge operates differently on the '98 cars.

99+ is serial data, the 98 is analog from the BCM, AFAIk.

The temp gauge on the '98 starts at 160 and the '00 starts at 100

****, that explains it. I have a 98 gauge cluster, when I bought it I was told it was a 99. I knew I had this thing wired in correctly. Thanks a lot 98camaro1le, you gave me the answer I was looking for. Thanks to everyone that responded.
