Default websites/resources for moving brake master

Anyone know where I can point a friend who has a 70 Mach1 who is test fitting a huge *** motor/heads into his car. The valve cover hits the brake booster, so it needs to be moved. Any writeups or companies that deal with this problem?

can he use a hydroboost system used in an 02 mustang and others?

You can't really move the master cylinder unless you move the pedals as well. Everything has to line up for it to work properly. You might want ot try a smaller booster or look into the hydroboost like 5.3 racer said.

Or you could use a manual brake setup with no booster.

Move the brake booster to the trunk...

The hydro system which uses the power steering pump really sucked on BMWs, they stopped using it. I spent about $700 in PARTS fixing my son's

Or an electric boosted sytem (sorry no link)

You also can use a wilwood triple master/pedal combo which is what I use but no power boost.

I used a 90 degree relocater so its under the dash. Not sure if you have any more room under there.

Ford uses the Hydoboost setup in the modular mustangs, and there are tons of those on the road. If there were issues with that setup I am sure they would have come to light. I have one of these setups that I didn't use for my conversion if you are interested.

I chose to modify my brake pedal ratio to 6.125:1 and run a 1" bore wilwood tandem master cyl with no boost. This was based on having a 2600# car with 12.5" disks on all four corners.

Didn't some Torinos have a bracket that raised the master cylinder? The brakerod pushed on the middle of a lever, and the top of the lever pushed on the master.

i am interested in any info on this topic too, as i have yet to decide what to do with my e30 brake booter when the ls1 goes in... The e34 5 series bmw's had a booster that sat in front of the driverside wheel well. might be able to get that to work with some custom linkage. I want to look into the hydro boost idea too.

With a 318 you don't need a booster at all, just use the triple master wilwood setup with front brake setup from them as well. I'm using 12.19" front rotors inside 15" wheels, made my own brackets for the calipers. You can do the whole setup for about $750.
