Default Cj7 Finally On It's Way

Got the donor out of a 2002 Z71 silverado. Using Advance Adapters finally sat the 5.3 in and I think it looks OK. Waiting for my Hooker block hugger headers to see fit than finalize the mounts. To continue...

Looks good, and damn, you beat me to completion, lol. I've been pulled away from it for a few months, but hopefully by Labor day...

Good to hear from you jeepinpete. I been burning the midnight oil on this one. It surely feels good now that it's almost done. If you need any info on the project please let me know if I can help.
Thanks!

Do you have any pictures of your exhaust system? Which transfer case did you use?

Congrats on another running hybrid. A 5.3 in a CJ... that thing must fly.

Hooker block huggers as seen, 2 1/4 to collector. Right side comes down in front of the oil pan (Real cool) and merges with left side into a 2 1/2 pipe. 2 1/2 for about a foot than flange so it can be taken down if needed. Short 2 1/2 to the super turbo muffler. Than 2 1/2 all the way out back. I like it because it is very quiet at idle. Can't even tell a swap is in. I think it would have more power with a bigger dia. pipe but DAS NUH-TING. Check it out!!

Default shifter

The shifter's install came out like stock with a little modification. The LOKAR shifter is real nice and clean looking. It has engraved letters and is depressed to change gears.
Thanks

Thanks

Thanks for the comments. I did this project for my wife to do her weekend cruising being it be the mall or down the beach on the sand. It's amazing how smooth this set up is and how easy it is to drive. Like I said before, when stepped on it will keep up with the big boys! Your CJ8 would be a great project.
Thanks

It should be a lot faster than chevy trucks due to the weight difference. It'll be a sleeper thats for sure.

I'd love to do mine but i've been challanged over the rights to the title. I "thought" it was will'ed to be but there's a family dispute going on

man seein a third gen motor in a jeep really gets me pumped. i'm about to drop 425 horse ls1 into my lil' TJ in a few months and seeing posts like this one makes me feel at ease because from right here it seems like a massive project but i know in the end all the hard work will be well worth it.
