Default Do I need to ground my battery directly to my block?

Right now I have my relocated battery grounded to my frame (piece of 2x4 box tube) and my block grounded to my frame with some huge 2/0 cable. Is it neccasary to run another cable from the battery directly to the block?

no, I always ground batt to frame, motor to frame and then motor to body. Its never a bad idea to have enough grounds though.

the more the merrier when it comes to grounds. as far as engine to the batt? probably not, but a strap to the fram or firewall isnt a bad idea.

I have grounds running from the battery to 1) Frame, 2) Engine and 3) body... I also have grounds from the engine mount bolts to the x-member. Back of the heads to the Body. And that is just in the Engine Area.. Have a few Frame to body grounds around the trans and rear frame area (Gas tank and trunk). If I find any good reason for some electronic stuff.. i will add more.

That's ok. I don't listen much to the music anyway (even in my daily driver). I still have the original AM/FM radio in place.

thats cool, im not saying its wrong to have plenty of grounds, i just figured if anyone is planning on beefing up their stereo they should keep that in mind is all. the way i was told you just want as many of your grounds going to the same place. i.e. kinda like how you have a postive power juntion and all the positive wires join there, same kinda thing.
