Moving shifter w/ help from McLeod
Moving shifter w/ help from McLeod With the Z3 conversion I'm doing, I fell several inches short from the shifter hole. Someone from another thread here on LS1Tech pointed me to McLeod for help and this is what I got....
It moves the shifter point back 4.1 inches which isn't quite to the center but I can get creative with the lever for the rest.

i moved mine back around 3inches with a mustang steeda stick. it might help you to get back a little further if you need to. Just search for steeda shifter. I paided a whooping 30 bucks shipped for it.

I remember somebody being led to that thing I can't remember if it was you. But I'm thinking I might need that thing when I do swap. Let us know how it goes.

FYI Yorkie's name is Blue...so I can say "You're my boy blue" like in the movie Old School. And yes, the LS1 is going into my 1996 Z3. I posted pics in the link below but they are a couple weekends old. Since then I've put most of the front end back together, got most of the plumbing done, and it's all wired up. I should be able to post some more pics next week
