69 Camaro Brake Booster Clearance
I just realized I never tried my booster fit and clearance during my engine trial fit and of course now the engine is back out. I got an LS2 in a 69 Camaro with ATS mounts and was wondering if anyone knows whether or not the stock 11" booster will clear the engine with no modifications. If not, what's the opinion on what works best for power brakes and master cylinder?

Not sure if the 11 inch will clear but an alternative is the double diaphragm unit from 80-81 ta's and some g-bodies I think. Used one in the gf's 67 bird due to space but it gives you more brake pressure also. Some modification required to get it in but not too bad.

I spoke to Tyler at ATS today who told me it should fit no problem with the stock booster. I'm going to take his work for it and not slide the motor back in.
Is there a performance advantage to the 3rd gen booster setup? I'll be running Corvette brakes.

Badd63, I don't know yet, I haven't put the engine back in, car is still in the paint process and might be some time before I really know for sure. I haven't had any reason to doubt Tyler at ATS yet so I'm not concerned really. His mounts put the engine lower than most of the others I think anyway.
