so the vette rails fit onto stock lt1 fuel lines?
also, will the ls1 lines clip onto the lt1 tank? i see they have clips on them you pinch to remove, is it the same on the lt1? so if i had a 99 doner car, i could use the tank foroward lines to the engine bay? and the 99 rails?

So i just got done with my swap...and can't for the life of me get the fuel gauge to work....
i put a 99 LS1 into my 95 LT1, using stock LT1 dash...are the signals compatible or what would i need to do to get it to work? unless maybe i run the wires from the tank...up to the PCM and wire the fuel level gauge to the output from the pcm...hmmm...will that work? i dunno....
Any feedback?
Also, i read earlier in this post that the tach needs to be setup to run off of 4cyl not 8? i just bought a 3.5" tach to mount on my dash and i set it up as an 8cyl...if i switch the switch to 4cyl then it should work correct?
Also, as far as the water temperature goes, i have an autmeter water temp gauge...can i just splice into the factory sender and get the proper signal or do i need a dedicated sender?

A few have recomended the vette filter as a regulator. Does this filter have a pressure reg built in?? It seems to have one in and two outs on it.

Did you install the LS1 fuel tank?? If so your kinda screwed because the sending unit on the LS1 tranks is different and won't work with the LT1 fuel gauge.

However, I did change the front portion (braided) of the lines and ran the feed into an Aeromotive regulator. The return line came off the regulator since the LS1 rail only has a feed....unless you use the vette rail/regulator (expensive). So, in the end it was much cheaper to buy the Aeromotive regulator and braided line than to buy the LS1 corvette rail/regulator setup that already has the return.
As for the rack....you cannot use the LT1 rack (from my experience) as already mentioned by 765Joey

I would just use the vette rail/regelator took me about 15 minutes to install and it worked great.

Just send your harness, and LS1 PCM out to SpearTech and have them rework it, so it's plug and play with the LT1 car, also have them change your tach setup to a 4 cyl signal, instead of an 8 cyl, and your cluster will work.

You don't need to have the PCM set out to Speartech. Just get a ls1 comp and anybody that has access to something like HP Tuner can reflash a stock ls1 program in it. You could actually probably just take it to any dealership and get it flashed by a techII. Get yourself a harness and get Speartech to adapt it for you though. They made me a pimp harness that pluged into all the required lt1 connections.
Yes you are going to need to have the ls1 power steering rack because the placement of the knuckle is slightly farther to the drivers side then the lt1 rack.

I really was lucky because alot of my friends had old stock parts that they didn't have a need for and they just gave them to me. Also had some that cut me some really good deals on some used parts.
I think total is about $7000 give or take. I know I probably left some things out. You can do it cheaper and just put all stock parts in but that didn't seem worth it at all to me.
Probably add about another 2500 to that total as well becase i'm sending the motor out to get build a forged 347.
After a while I just stoped counting and kept handing the cash over. It was worth it in the end though cause I could never have found a ls1 car in anywhere as good as shape as my 94 and also been able to have all thoes mods that I have done.
