You need to either go to Ricks or Rock Valley ( http://www.rockvalleyantiqueautoparts.com/catalog.htm) or make your own.
You can either sump it or install an intank pump like I did.

I wasn't too concerned about it. I never let the tank get lower than 1/4 in any of the vehicles I have with in-tank pumps. The fuel is what helps to cool the pump. I haven't really driven my car much so I can't say if it will be a problem. I thought I would try this setup first. The cheapest tank that I could have made for me was going to be $750. I haven't heard of anyone having issues using the Tanks Inc. system. There seems to be alot of people using this.

You could also use a factory f-body fuel pump/bucket, you don`t have to worry about a baffel then.

Could I just sump the tank and use a inline fuel pump? If so is there a big difference between this one with baffles.
sump with baffles
Or this one without baffles.

So can you sump the tank and run an intank pump? I have a guy here that will install a sump basicly for free. I just need to know if a sumped tank with a inline fuel pump would work. And which sump would work better for a fuel injection swap.

The sump part was about 6" wide 10" long and 2" deep. I think I cut about 2" off the bracket to let the sump sit on the bottom of my tank. I bought a new 1978 trans am tank from Tamraz for $145 and a 4.5" dewalt hole saw for around $20. The hardest part of installing this was cutting the round hole in the tank. I put it in where the vent tube comes out. The measurements aren't exact. I put this in about 6 months ago. I wish I had taken more pictures. There really isn't much to their setup. You could save some money and build your own version of this. The walbro 255 lph pumps can be bought for a little over $100.

I like having the pump inside the tank. It's protected, you don't see it, you don't have to mount it along the frame rail and it will be quieter. I was looking at both an internal and external pumps. The only drawback I see to an internal pump is the additional work required if there is a failure.

Question...: what is the intent of the car.. DD, street or track ? What are your expectation on drivablity (Noise !?) and then there is the Legal points of it...
1) external pump can be noisy (search for threads with opinons) and they have a failure rate that is much higher than the Intank (with the pump submerged in the gas, the gas will keeps the pump cooler and will last longer. I am not saying it will fail on you, but ??.)
2) Legal / DOT.. External Slumps maybe illegal in your state/city.
3) it would be better if you ran with the Baffles in the tank/slump.
4) if your going all out racing.. external... but if not.. intank can be good up to a point.
two cent..
