Well, after a year of collecting parts and making minimal progress I have purchased all the parts to install the 6.0. Today the Champ oil pan's LSx swap pan showed up and is an incredible piece. All of the rest of my stuff will be here by the weekend. I have to give a sneak peek. ![Chug! Chug! Chug!](https://ls1tech.com/forums/images/smilies/LS1Tech/gr_chug.gif)

Finished assembly on the motor and buttoned up the suspension this weekend, things are looking good for a motor/trans install next weekend. I picked up a quick ratio Jeep Grand Cherokee steering gear and rag-joint from an 82 Suburban from a junkyard and got it ready to go in. CCP brake kit went it smooth and look like they will work out fine. I am in the process of getting my hands on a pre-02 intake off a truck to shave and smooth it down and make it a bit prettier. Installed tall and narrow Energy motor mounts and got the swap pan on with no issues. Hopefully I will get some pics up this weekend of the install.
** For the A-body Sticky: **
A 92-98 Jeep Grand Cherokee steering gear is a direct swap in an A-body. The Jeep box is 2 turns, lock to lock and has metric hose fittings that will accept stock GM/LSx p/s hoses. You will need to install the A-body pitman arm on the new box and use the steering box side ragjoint from a 80's metric fullsize GM truck. The Jeep box in my car has proved a very good upgrade, the steering response is much improved.

I installed an Express van throttle cable in the Cutlass today among other things. For a reference here are some pics of the install for you guys needing a cable for A-bodies. All I needed to do was enlarge the hole in the firewall for the detent and cut a slot in the pedal for the cable to slide into for the install. The extra length in the cable will not be that bad with the Magnacharger installed. The cable was $20 from my local GMC dealer.
