Default Update: Mustang custom gauge cluster.

Snapped a few updated pics of the finished cluster. Now, once I get the car back from paint i can add a pic of it IN the car...

Here's the finished cluster with the factory clear cover on it. The hole where the trip reset button poked through was resized to fit the electronic trip reset button for the aftermarket speedo.

Here's the back of the cluster. I will tidy up the wiring before it actually goes in the car

This is the plexiglass light spreader with an LED mounted in it. There's one super bright white LED behind each of the turn signals, and the high beam indicator. The Service Engine Soon light has two bright yellows.

Illuminated SES light:

Illuminated turn signal:

Illuminated high beam indicator:

Nice, that looks great I really like the hidden indicators and the fact that you retained the factory plexiglass cover.

Nice! Good job brains. I like it. Are the indicators visible in day light as well?? That was one concern I had while making mine. I was going to go with 5% tint to black it out completely, but I thought during the day time the SES light could come on and Ide never know. So I went with 20%.

Looks great! Like I said I like the gauge lighting, and your light spreaders and hidden warning lights seem to work great!

The indicators are very visible under the lights and during the daytime in the house, so I think it'll be good in the car too. The part I won't be able to see, and it's because of how they're built, is the odometer. No matter what I do with the bulbs, which color, etc. I can't get the numbers to be easily visible. I might actually dissect the gauge and remove the reflective strip from the back of the LCD so it's back lit.

looks good. it looks a lot like mine from MC Machine. it's got all the indicators on it, except they're all along the top. then it's also got the turn signal & highbeam indicator almost exactly where yours is. i thought about using the clear lens, but since i have autometer elec speedo, there would be a hole there for no reason where the trip reset button was. nice job though.
