Guys my car cranks fine. It's a newly built ls motor with all new parts so I'm stumped. The idle is fine at startup then it starts idling up and down and then it bogs down like its not getting air but I can feel the intake pulling in air then when I turn it off it diesels. Anybody had this problem? Car is full of gas once it bogs down I shut the car off. Seems to reset once its restarted but bogs after its running for a minute or so. Any ideas?

As Merv said it sounds like a fueling issue. Car being full of fuel doesn't mean it is being delivered. Time for a fuel pressure test.

Who is using

1in set back plates
4l60e

and Gforce crossmember?

Did you have to drill new holes for the crossmember. Towards the end of the day I tried to get the gforce crossmember in and just ended giving up haha.

**lift access would be so lovely**

I had one made for my dad's monte for like $150. all i had to do was measure from the middle of the input shaft to the middle of the u-joint for the rear. The driveshaft place did the rest and even painted it for me!

What's not to like about the looks? Clean *** car, updated factory style wheel and motor? Looks slick. Wish mine was that nice!

Bringing the thread ttt!

Looking to see how everyone's progress is going. I'm just waiting to finish up with painting my undercarriage than my buddy and I will start to drop in the motor and trans. I'm still debating trying to go with the tsp headers but I haven't got much info on them for fitment in a g body. I'd like to get SS headers since I'd rather not have rusty headers

I'm hoping to get the motor trans 8.5 rear all installed with hopefully a set of headers as well. I already have a GN tank and the racetronix sending unit/pump ,vette FPR and hot wire kit for my fuel system. Looking to get all the SS flexible fuel lines for my bday than i just need the AN fittings and my fuel systems complete!

No sir I tried that too. I had to walk away from it bc I was so frustrated. Everything in the car is brand new so I dont know whats going on. Another reason I left it alone is bc Im currently in Afghanistan so I plan to take it to a guy who does swaps and have him run a diagnostic to see if that pinpoints the problem. Car cranks and runs fine for a few then it just bogs down. But I plan on getting it figured out soon as I can get back to her!!!

Anyone have a stock Monte SS floor shifter operating a 4L80E? I need to find out what cable bracket & trans shift arm you are using as I can't get my original 200r4 cable bracket to work correctly with the 80E trans shift arm.

Did you guys try using the stock shift arm from the 200 on the 80? I used the all the 200 hardware to hook up my column shifter and it works fine, might get lucky with the floor shifter too...

My 200 shift arm doesn't fit between the trans case and my headers but that's great news! Ill take a measurement off of the 200 arm and try to duplicate that.
