I understand that I can use the Car intake with Truck accessories as long as I also use a 2010ish Camaro water pump and the http://www.dirtydingo.com/shop/pages...ID=12&CDpath=3
DD Idler pulley relocation bracket. Always open to suggestions though...

Looking information for wiring dual spal fans to ls engines. Instead of using the temp sensor, I should be able to use the wires from the ls ecm to activate the relay to turn the fans on? At the desired temperature right? It's a griffin ls swap radiator.

My regal is at 16W Fabworks to get another round of fabrication. Starting with these beauties. Headlight bezels! And, making some changes. I decided to run an air filter infront of the turbo's.

I also changed intakes to the Holley Sniper as well engine mounts. The BRP mounts are sooooo much nicer than anything else I have bought. I am on my 3rd set of mounts. Should have just spent the money once. But, everything doesn't line up now. So, all intercooler piping has to be redone.

What is so much nicer about the BRP mounts? Have you tried the Holley mounts?

Problem with BRP mounts is that nobody else's headers fit BUT the million dollar BRP's. It does raise it up nicely though. I also found only pan that will fit with those mounts is either a Holley or GMPP pan, not the CTS-V pan like most people can use.

The Holley mounts are where it's at. I've put 8500 miles on my swap with 0. Issues.

Hmmm. Raising it up nicely means a crappy inclination angle then?

put some good miles and track passes on my holley mounts all summer no problems. 600 ish HP
I could see that by them utilizing the stock style clamshell motormounts as part of the complete setup that on a high HP setup it may be a future problem but i cant say for sure.

but as for me +1 more fore the holley motormounts.

Default 78 ... Hell camino

Alright guys I've got a few questions, after multiple tried attempts and buying different motor mounts and oil pans I still can't get my 5.3 into my 78 el co,
hooker adapter plates
98-02 oil pan from jegs - can get part number
Anchor motor mounts (straight up and down not the aftermarket style)

I've notched the cross member holes back like the hooker instructions say to do but my valve covers/heads are in the firewall and the pan is hitting the cross member both height and foremost ... At this point I'm almost wanting to just notch the cross member enough to bring the mounts to the foremost holes and weld the damn clamshells in place ... Any suggestions?

Are you using the Hooker 12643HKR engine brackets and Anchor 2292 engine mounts?

I used the 302-2 pan. I also cut the last boss off the valve cover on pass side, and trimmed the coil bracket a little. You prob have the mounts in the wrong holes on the frame.

The 78-79 A-bodies have tighter clearances at the firewall than the G-bodies, so you'll want to ensure your body mounts are in good comdition and possibly need to relocate the rear coil on the passenger side valve cover if you are trying to use the stock A/C evaporator case. I would caution you against moving the engine forward as it will likely cause accessory drive interference issues with your steering box.

I have a 5.3 in a Cutlass using the Holley mounts. I just got my Holley crossmember for a 4l80 I'm installing in the spring.

What Dipstick are you guys using?

I really don't want a Lokar as filling with it is a real pita!

We were able to use the stock 4L80 truck dipstick on the Holley Monte SS car with a slight tweak to it.
