Thanks for posting the pictures. I really appreciate your help. I need to learn how to do this as I have a lot of pics from the whole project. Is there a "dummies" book that explains the process. I also have pics of my 55 Bel Air body off "restification" I would like to put up. My next project is a 56 Chev 2 dr station wagon I would like to chronicle. I just bought a 2002 LS1/6 speed with under 5k miles to put in it. It needs everything including new front floors! I have been thinking about C4 Vette suspension for it also, don't know yet. Thanks again!

Yes, it is a Newman conversion. I sandblasted the frame and took it there myself. He has a very sanitary shop and is very professional. He and his brother Clay do excellent work, the welds are beautiful and he has fixtures to set it up just like GM. I bought the suspension from another source and screwed it all together. Everything fit very well. He also removed and flanged the trans cross-member so I could get the trans out without pulling the motor. He provides motor mounts for whatever motor you want, including the LS1. Some trimming of the underbody is necessary to clear the new torque arm and rear shock mounts.

Sorry about that,

Thanks for the update!
Fastlane68,
Thanks for the kind words. I shortened the Mass Airflow's aluminum housing about 1/2" to fit it and the K & N air cleaner in the room I had. I punched a hole it the air cleaner base to plug in the Air Temp sensor. If I had it to do over I would have re-arranged some stuff to get the air cleaner thru the core support and behind the grill.
