Freaking place was packed!! I was only able to make 2 run....45 min. in the staging lane each time...screw that!

No 7's tonight.....first run spinning badly in 1st was a 8.14 @87.77 with a nasty 1.92 60' .I was running 18 psi. in the tires, left at 3k and I forget to loosen up the struts()

Next pass was a 8.08 @89.72 still spinning badly to a 1.91 60'. 18 psi. struts on #2.

Nothing broke, so all in all everything went ok. Once I was able to get into 2nd the car felt very good. I know this thing has a good 2-3 tenths in it...maybe more. I want to play around with the air pressure and launching rpm's when its not so crowded .

I swear I'm a dumb ***! After looking at the instructions for the struts I realized I adjusted them the wrong way! Anyway, I hope to get back to the track next Sat. afternoon .

That's a pretty sweet car. IMO, I think that you should paint it.

Man that sucks, you're selling the motor and stuff. Well, it happens. I am selling my car after I get it running( or if the price is right as it sits ). What are you going to do now?

Thanks guys. It's been a long while since I have updated this post. I'll give a quick run-down as to it's current stage.

As of right now the car is tore apart (again) for paint.I have sold the LS1 and the T56. I have a 6.0 and a Th350 that will be taking there place. The 6.0 is a stock LQ4. I have a new set of L92 heads and a L76 intake that I'm fixing to throw on it. I just ordered my cam, springs, pushrods, timing chain and head gaskets this morning from Texas Speed. Pretty much all I have left to buy are a shifter, converter and throttle body. I do have another 6.0 shortblock that I plan on building after I get this set-up running.

keep me updated, I'm currently building my 88gt with a LQ4, 243 heads, vic jr efi, with a th400. The engine is at the machine shop (should be done this week). I'd like to see some routing of shifter cable, tranny cooler lines, shifter location, etc. The little stuff is what I'm interested in

I have a th400 and I am using the quarter stick with the pistol grip and the botton on top. My converter is a TCS4500. I have not got it in yet, so I'm not real sure on how to rout the cable, but I hope to be at that point by early sept.

We are hanging the rods on the pistons tonight and then putting it together Thursday night.

Here are a couple pics I took last week. They are from my cell phone , so the quality is not that great. I did get my converter and throttle body last week though. I was trying to get it ready to go to the LXS shootout next month, but it doesn't look like that going to happen. I guess I'll take the wife instead.

The paint looks good in the pics. It looks a bit dry on the Lt quarter. Are you going to wet sand and buff it?
