Yeah, other than the Kook's I have no idea about the sb1's, sorry . I will try to get some pics after I get the struts and coilovers on this weekend. The weather here has been screwed up over the past week or so.

It's coming along nicely. Hey if you want to tow that thing to Indy, I can help you out with the paint lol. I own and operate a body shop here.

I really like those kooks, but don't want to spend that kind of coin right now on them. I have a set of 351 long tubes with ls1 flanges on them. They seem to fit OK. But I don't think they are going to work as good as the kooks.

I'm going to start assembling a 383 ls1 when it comes back from the machine shop. The car is getting ready to go to a chassis guy for a cm cage and through the floor sfc's and to get the motor mounts re done.

I bought this car off of "pray hrdr" about three months ago. I've got it gutted now.

lol Don't tempt me! I'll throw my junk on the rollback in a freaking hurry! I wondered what happen to that car. I always thought it looked damn good.

I have been tossing around the idea of selling my motor and trany so I could build my 6.0/l92 or just selling my headers and go the turbo route. Hell....I don't know what I'm doing from one day to the next.lol

I did this to give me more time to build the bottom end of my Ls1 and still have my car running asap. Well what I needed to know is do you or anyone else here know what headers will work on this. We had a set of midlenghts laying around but they hit the firewall really bad. Any help on this would get me up and running like next month. And I also haven't seen anymore pics of your car yet. I don't know if Lt4malibu could help but this problem is holding me back so much , any help would be appreciated.

lemmons make headers for a Gen1 SBC.

you can also go to a quality chassis shop and have them made.

You should keep it like it is for now and get it finished and painted. Then next year, make the motor switch or up grade. That will give you time to get it painted and to decide on future plans for the engine.

Here is my build thread in the drag section.

Yeah, I know kooks and lemmons and a shop could make me some headers , but like I said, it is just for a short time that this small block is gonna be in the car. But thanks, I am going with the kooks for my LS1, but I found out that the s10 sbc swap headers will work with moding the collector on the pass. side. But thanks for the help guys. Also DjQuick I started my thread and have a couple crappy pics on there, check it out . It says my 86 project .....

No news??? Whats up , hows it coming? I am starting to roll on mine a little.. I got a few new pics on my thread. I put on my wheels rear shocks, dash, painted the roll cage, have the sb1 in the car but a guy offered my 900 bucks for it and the converter, so it is coming out this week and I will have the ls1 in shortly. I got my fuel cell and tranny cross member this weekend but it is just sitting there. I will be giving kooks a call this week to order my headers . I was just wondering how yours was going..

Sorry for the lack of updates.....
I installed the new Strange adj. struts ,coilovers and CC plates a couple weeks ago and had my buddy do an alignment on it. Other than just doing some little stuff, thats about it. Really doesn't need much more than painting now.
I will try to get some more pics over the next couple days.

To be honest I have had a few offers on the car and have thought about selling it. I know if I do I will kick myself later. With a good coat of paint this would be a very nice car. Runs good, nice factory black interior and drives good, even with no front sway bar.

JR....More than likely it would end up with a LSx power plant. lol

LT1, No date set yet. I'm still trying to decide if I want to spray it myself or if I want to let someone else do it.
