Quite the saga! Nice job on the install I personally was impressed with your homade tranny mount with the U channels for the exhaust. I read the whole thread and was really suprised you yanked out the LS. You must really enjoy working on cars........Oh and nice looking family too!

I bought the Racecraft one... It is smaller in diameter than the Flaming River and leaves more room for clearance. It also is extremely hardened, it took 4 cut off wheels to cut it to the right length. I think if I had a chop saw, it would have been easier, but I didn't. It also melted 4 titanium drill bits trying to drill the hole for the bolt. Once it was in, it fit perfectly.
You can see the shaft in the right of the picture. I will take a pic, now that it is installed.

Well with wiring harness back from Speartech (awsome btw) and the PCM back from Wait4me . I was able to get most of the wiring ran and the PCM mounted. I had a issue with mounting the PCM in the stock mustang location. The 98 PCM if freaking big! I ended up having to clearance the fire wall where the heater core inlet and outlet goes through because I had to shift the whole box over about 1". I started to just leave the box out, but after thinking about those cold mornings getting off of work I came to my senses.

I looked but couldn't find any pics. I basically stuck it in the factory hole and took a piece of that 1" wide banding that you buy in a roll and strapped it in. You WILL have to move your heater box towards the drivers side if you mount it in that location. Its a pita...
If I do it again I'm going to add about 4' to the harness and put it under the passenger seat.

Is there any detriment to having it under the hood...other than aesthetics?
Thanks DJ.
