The 2008 truck pan is part # 12619776 and it takes pick up # 12608579 which should also work with the 07 truck pan listed above.

Default Which Pan for LS3 in 93-02 F-body?

I'm planning a LS3 swap into 4th gen f-body, which Oil Pan / pick-up /tray will be the best set-up for this type of swap ?

Does anyone have a detailed picture of the top side of the fbody oil pan, looking directly at the holes that go to the oil filter? Thanks.

• 5 qt capacity
• Includes oil pan, dipstick and tube, gaskets, pickup tube,
windage tray, and all mounting hardware

nasty86- thats the LH8 pan.

I think the thirdgen conversions are using the Stock ls1 F-body pan with no problems.

Does anybody have the dimensions/template for the F body oil pan modifications for the 68-72 A body application? Since I already have the pan, and the LH8 pans don't seem to be a better solution (and they're on national backorder), and the aftermarket ones are quite spendy, I feel like I should just modify what I already have. Thanks.

Hello

I'm currently dropping a LS3 into a old supra. I have a Fbody Oilpan now on there which is quite fine but it would help me massivly if I could save some height in the front of the pan. Is there any OEM or aftermarket pan that is not as high as 1 3/8 inch in the front?

How much additional clearance do you need? The rod bolts are not far inside the pan at the front. You would probably gain 3/16 - 1/4" at most. If you check the front at the pan, you will see a notch cast in for rod bolt clearance.

Default G8 Pontiac - VE Commodore

F Body pan compared to G8 pan:

LSX oil pans-ve-vs-f-body-pan-w-dims.jpg

F Body pan looks comparitively larger than it is due to close camera angle.

Holds about 9-10qts.

Same as Holden VE Commodore 06/07/08/09.

PN's to come.

Cheers.

Apparently it is an LH8 pan shown in post 1 under Hummer H3.

Default info too late

kit came in Friday, it is the LH8 pan.
sure would have been nice if GM would have listed what the oil pan was in the kit with some dimensions.
not going to work for our 69 camaro swap.
part was a special order, dealer won't take back.
so now we are stuck trying to sell it.

It sucks that GM wont take this back. They should say its an LH8 pan and it may not fit early F Bodys.

Really, unless the engine is against the firewall and a regular F Body pan will clear the steering link, the options seem to be to section an F Body pan, take the bottom off an LH8, or get an aftermarket pan.

F Body here in a 68, engine not on firewall. Sectioned the pan.
