well they are earlier in this post as a matter of fact, but you will have to be less general as the CTSV came with both the LSA and the LS2 and the LS6...

and the LH8 pan is also part of a kit that comes with the pickup, windage, bolts, tube, and dipstick. its a page back iirc. 19212593

CTSV came with 3 diff engines. The LS6, and the LS2, but both have the same PN for the pan at the moment. they may have been diff before, but i do not know on that one. Then the LSA is a diff pan as well. So really there are only 2 pans for the CTSV. The LS2/6 and the LSA

there it is...go to sdparts.com and plug it in like this
http://www.sdparts.com/product/19212593/FPANKIT.aspx

and you go from there...or you can call in. either way.

Default oil pan for a ls2 into a 65 impala

So I read everything in this post and now Im more confused. LH8 , CTSV , S&P? Im dropping a ls2 into my 65 Impala and the car will be lowered a bit not to the ground but lower. Is the LH8 going to hit? Would the CTSV fit and fit better or should I go the S&P route?
Thanks

People normally either go LH8 or Fbody pan.

Default f body pan

If use the f body pan isnt that after I send it out to be modified? I know S&P cant use my C6 pan so they told me I had to locate a f body pan then send it out to them for welding.
I would love to be able to use the LH8 set up but am worried it will pound the ground if I hit road bumps.

The LH8 pan is about 7.5" from the flange to the bottom of the pan.

The LS2 Corvette is about 5"

The F-Body is a little more than 5"

Default oil pans

I currentlly have a flared c5 oil pan on my ls6. For my swap into my rx7 using(hinsonsupercars subframe) i need the ls1 style pan. I found one on ebay for a decent price but it has a terrible description and the partnumber it has shows it as the ls2 one up there however the pics of it looks like one of the other models up top on this page. Will the bolt holes match up with the pattern on my block? And sealing aswell?

Default F-Body Oil Pan Part #'s and Prices

Several swaps need the F-Body oil pans, and it seems they are fairly hard to come by, and the prices tend to be relatively high when you do find them. Currently on GMpartsdirect.com the prices are: the oil pan (12558762) $177.00, windage tray (2558253) $15.87 and oil pickup (12558251) $30.04. The three pieces can be obtained for a total of $222.91 new. If you know someone at the local dealership, they can usually order them for about the same pricing, sometimes even better. Anyway, the more I have searched for the three components for my conversion, I may just go ahead and buy new for what little the price difference can be at times for used parts. Just an FYI.

I bought a new F-bidy pan about a year ago and I wanted to mention that it does not accept the regular oil filter. It was changed to a newer style filter that is the same size, but has a different thread.

Yes it has a different thread as it has an internal by pass valve vs older style having in pan bypass. PF48.

I dont know if anyone else is doing an LSx swap in an s10 or blazer, but someone told me you could use an 08 hummer h3 5.3 pan and there would be no mods to the crossmember or oilpan. Anybody confirm? Thanks
