Yes, this appears to be the case.

Time to admit I'm a complete 'tard. I'm in need of a shallower pan than the truck pan I'm currently using (03 Tahoe 5.3L) I found plenty of info in this thread but when i try to use www.car-part.com to locate the correct pan (f-body) the olny options I'm seeing are for a 5.7l or 3.8l motor.

So what year Camaro/firefird am I looking for in order to get the correct pan, tray, dipstick?

Told ya I'm a 'tard.

All the F bodies use the same pan/etc. So any of them with the 5.7 engine. LS1 of course.

There are 2 posts in this thread about this pan with large pictures and discussion as well as several other threads discussing it if you search. It is the pan made by JZ Motorworks. The knocks on that pan are that the baffling is poor and it is not as low of a profile in the front as the AutoKraft pan and does not clear the tie rods on many a-body conversions. Other than that, I have heard nothing else bad.

Default V1 & V2 CTS-V Oil Pan Photos

Attached are pics of the CTS-V pans, the pan on the left is for the 04-07 and the pan on the right is the LSA pan.

The LSA pan has cast-in mounts for the oil cooler, a different the boss for the oil level sender, and the larger thread size for the oil filer. Everything else (dimensions, internal baffling, windage tray, ect.) is the same.

It's a good looking pan but I would like to see some dimensions.

Also, the windage tray is abbreviated and correspondingly, the front of the pan looks awfully shallow. I wonder if it would clear a 4" arm with an aftermarket h-beam type rod (Callies/Manley/Carrillo) ?

Looks similar to an F Body pan. But.......it appears to have a re-profiled floor at the front. The F Body pan has a rod bolt clearance notch cast in. Looks like the MAST pan has this clearance taken one step further. Though yes it would be nice to hear what MAST has to say about this area.

This is the precise thing that makes it attractive to us a-body guys. It helps with the tie rod clearance issues that so many are reporting.

I understand that as I have the same issue with my swap, but for those of us with a longer stroke motor, it would be a moot point if it clears the suspension but won't work on their motor.

Does anyone know if there is an aftermarket dipstick that will work with the cts-v pan? I don't want to blow $25 on the rigid gm part and run into header clearance issues. Would prefer to go with something flexible if possible.

I have been doing my fair share. Make sure you let them know you are waiting on their facebook page too.
