Yup, another Mustang with an LS2, drag car.

Just read this whole thread right at the end of my work day. Now I can't get up to leave for a few minutes... thanks...
Thing is ridiculous... absolutely ridiculous. Having a Mustang myself it would be pretty hilarious to have guys scratching their heads wondering wth is out of place with that built "Windsor" if you do decide to put a dizzy on it.

In due time, it will have a jesel front mount distributor, so it won't look like a GM or Ford, especially with my new valve cover adapter rails to put ford valve covers on my LS heads..

So we figured out the problem with the clutch assembly. I had gone through the money and pain of switching everything over to a "ford" style by using a passenger side pivot ball and 94 and later clutch fork.
After realizing that won't allow enough throw on the bearing and I will have clutch problems, I took a look at my friends pro stock car and decided to copy the ways his is setup.
Moved back to a gm fork and driver's pivot ball. Moved the fork exit to 7pm, instead of 9pm. All is well in the world now and the clutch movement is perfect.
Keep forgetting my camera and was using the phone.

Hey Tj... quick question.. Henry and I were looking at pics and couldn't tell if you have the victor jr or super victor on your car now. Did you end up using that SV?
As far as the fork setup, I have a clutch from Rob Youngblood (Advanced Clutches) and he said not to use a hydraulic setup. He said the throw on the hydraulic ones are too hard to be consistent with his pressure plates and the "slip" sometimes doesn't work right with a hydraulic one.

Got my new Racecraft Billet uppers, put the front end on and set the ride height. Hopefully, the car will work this low.
Just need to wire the car, get the engine back from the engine shop and get it painted. Although, I will probably not paint the car until after I make some passes on the track. Gotta make sure it goes straight before I pay that money to paint it
Will 2010 be the year to finally make a pass? I sure as hell hope so.
