That's about the best pic I have of mine...It goes down alittle more behind the core support and theres a cone filter right behind the headlight. Also has a bracket holding it up for support off the EGR valve.

Great post. I have been working on this also. If you get the dual K&N setup from S&P it is $500. We have a local guy here that deals in stainless. He gave me a couple of 3.5" 90's and some straight tubing. Im trying to get it laid out now.

Mine is still in the design phase but my current plan for the 65 cutlass is dual ram air thru the head lights seen in this link.

What's the part number on the Hooker headers and did they require modification. I've got a set of Edelbrock sip fits but they are going to require a lot of work for the LS2 I have, The tubes touch the starter solenoid on the passanger side and come within 1/2 inch of the oil filter on the driver side. The collector angles are also pretty severe.

Thanks everyone for the kind words, I originally was scared to put up pics for fear of humiliation, I must've been too close.

That's exactly what I did. I believe it's 3 1/2 " , if I did it again I'd get a 4" piece and cut, glass, and paint. If you have even a modest knowledge of fiberglass ...this is an easy job, take your time and finish with Plasticote FLEXBUMPER (BLACK) COATING ..and make sure where you cut the flange that the patch ares is sanded and treated like bodywork for the rest of the car. Also , glass the bend piece to the straight piece then cut the flange so you know that'll be true( and not cockeyed). Good luck , and have fun.
