and just want to make sure I have everything I need.
12614821 - LH8 Oil Pan
12608593 - Screen
12563918 - Tube (which I am assuming is the dipstick tube)
12603506 - Indicator (Dipstick I presume?)
12612728 - Baffle
Does this look about right?
I still haven't bought my motor yet but will be going with an Fbod LS1 or a Vette LS1 and the assembly is going into a '56 Belair.

I have one in my garage right now that I ordered and found out the dipstick and dipstick tube is not right for the cast iron LS based engine. The new aluminum 5.3 in the Hummer has a lower mounting hole. Austin Belair, all the part numbers are correct. The baffle is included w/ the oil pan,as well as pan gasket and bolts. The only thing I see missing on your list is the windage tray for that pan. GM#12611129

I haven't bought one yet but what are considered cast iron LS motors? I'm assuming NON 5.3 truck based?
Can you use a different dipstick and tube with this pan?
And I need everything on that list PLUS the windage tray and MINUS the baffle?
I'm glad I didn't click 'Submit Order' yet..

The Ls based engine is referred to 2000 and up GM trucks(4.8,5.3,6.0)The LS1 your familiar with in the Vettes,Camaros,GTOs,firebirds. The newer LS2 in later model Vettes,Gtos, and TrailBlazer SS. They now have LS7 and the newest LS9. The cast iron ones are in the trucks. I have a 6.0 that's stroked to a 408 w/ the 2005-2007 Corvette heads. It originally came out of a 2004 HD2500. The dipstick situation hasen't been straightened out yet. I'm using the H* tube w/ the original truck dipstick. Reads a qt over but I know it's right. When I use the H8 dipstick it won't even hit the stick. I've been getting the parts from Don Hewlett out of Georgetown since they're trying to compete w/ Scoggin Dickey pricing. Scoggin Dickey is still pretty good though.

So, if I am going the Camaro, T/A, or Vette motor assembly, I should be good to go with this pan setup?
Can you edit my list and suggest what part numbers to order? I would like to order it all tonight.

Hey, guys letting you know I’m finally off Back Order on these pans, this is BRP’s shop manager installing one of our many LH8 oil pan on LS1/T56 combo for our 1964 A-Body display car for the Year One Experience. I have a batch of 15 oil pans that are coming in Monday of next week that are unclaimed for $249.99 with the LH8 oil pan, Pick Up Tube, Windage Tray and all hardware.

However, will this pan work with the TCI front and still have good ground clearance?
Thanks

Hey Phil it's me John I met you at the YOE, what oil pan would you reccomend for a 79-85 Caprice frame? My Merc rides on a mid 80's B-Body frame. Also any idea what headers might fit?

Are you recommending this for the TCI front clip with R&P mounted in front?

John,
Hey we take some good shots of your K-member and how the Merc sits on the frame in relation to the firewall as well as ground clearance shots for me and ill figure out what’s best for your project. I need a mock up car for the 80s B-body so I’m probable going to end up sending you a couple different sizes of motor brackets for you to try out for me. I also need you to take a measurement from the center of the bolt hole on each side of the frame for the crossmembers measurements. Also take some shots of the stock crossmember in the car for me. As for headers I pick up the first set of shorty headers on Thursday for the upcoming Super Chevy show and they should be an easy fit or were you looking for long tubes? If you were closer I have your car mocked up for headers here.
Also we are going to need some help with my employees turbo project he spoke with you about when the time comes since you did get a clean 867 to the wheels with yours! So keep in touch and ill make sure we get the Merc to the 21st century.
Phil
