Default Colorado Swap

Im doing a biult 5.3 into an 05 4 door Z-71 Colorado. Any tips would be great. I have the motor done, just got a truck intake, and working on a deal for the acces drive. Motor mounts are done. All I need is the trans bell housing and input shaft I think. I think i have the PCM harness ready as well.

Anybody know if someone makes the headers for this swap or am i going to have to fab them up?

What accessories are you using? I'm picking up an LS1 this weekend for my RCSB 04 Colorado.

Both Phil and I have built v8 s10's, for some the wiring is definitely the stubling block for their project. I chose to build my own but have alldata at the shop and lots of experience with harness' so for me it was not biggy I do suggest buying one if you are even remotely uncomfortable with wiring.

Input shaft is different splines ( I think) and bellhousing bolt pattern is different.

The harness will be the best money you spend. Especially when your trying to make late model electronics mate up so all your gauges work right. Certain pcm/programs will only work with the gauges and engine/trans combos . Unless your converting to a cable throttle , DBW tb and pedal can become a big issue as well. 24 or 58 tooth reluctor ring becomes an issue as well .

I made my headers and had them coated.

Ya i know, and i will be going with current. It just sucks that the harness and tune will cost me more than the engine biuld or tranny biuld, lol.
