im way past that mark. Are you sure its not 11.49? The time you posted sounds more like the time you need for a helmet.

believe it or not as verts we are supposed to have a 6pt cage at 13.49 which sucks. We also are supposed to have a full cage at 11.49 or something stupid like that, honestly i am just gonna get a 6pt eventually because all i plan on doing is test and tunes and maybe track days i dont plan on competing.

It is up to your track tech on weather you can run or not. Some tracks are a little easier going than others. I have been running 12.6's for a few years at my local track with no problem, but most tracks will not allow this. I have a Wolfe 6 point that will get installed this month. We have a new owner & with my upcoming changes I'll be looking at 11.5's.

I've run down to 12.6 with no hassles at the local
track but my car is pretty stock-appearing and I
only go on "Funday Sunday", any-clown-can-run
type events where tech inspection means "you
got a helmet, boy?" and checking that your T-shirt
doesn't have the sleeves cut off.

I'm just pissed they won't let me run top-down.

Before I got a cage, I did that. Work on my launch and let off at the 1/8 mile. Othertimes, I'd just roll through the starting beams, count 1,2,3 and then hammer the car. I would normally get 2 full runs in mixed in the others. 1 with a warning and then kicked out on the second run.

yeah it really depends on the track..i ran mid 12's this summer at MIR and they didn't say anything as long as i had my helmet on, but i was on street tires. Honestly if you only do things like test and tunes i dont think many tracks really care

It all depends on how strict your local track is with tech.

A;right, well i go too VMP and MIR is my favorite, thats where i did my 12.70. I will be running with suspension mods, and a 4k stall and line lock for the mts this time, so low 12s for me at MIR hopefully. We will see what they say at tech though, cause all i do now is test and tunes. thanx fellas. Wouldnt mind getting a wolfe 6pt though, i think they look bitchin with the top down, especially when my new rear wheels get hear(10 chrome C5 Z06s) gonna look nasty, just tryin to find a decent priced tire.
