Default cats on my convertible top

What do you guys do? I have a black top that is new from gm and it was expensive. My neighbors cats like sleeping on it so I put a blanket over it, but when I take the blanket off it leaves white fuzz all over the top. I really hate the idea of having to get a car cover on and off just to go to school each morning. Is their something special you guys use?

kill the cat! haha that sucks theres like tons of cats in my neighboorhood but no cat is stupid enough to sleep in my top. Imagine if he has the urge to scratch something while he's sleeping, your convertible top would have wholes all over the place.

I got some stuff that smells bad and repells cats. I sprayed it on the driveway around the car. Worked ok, but munecory's method would be more effective.

I had the exact same problem. I have a shoot on sight policy, which worked well until I stopped seeing them, but still saw their dirty work.
Then I bought 2 German Shepherds and problem solved.
Bye bye cats.

I tried a bb gun at first, not a high enough caliber. haha
I moved it up to a 30-06. That will stop a cat's meow for good.

I'm against hurting animals, but if they're on my car, all bets are off.

Kill 'em! I hate cats climbing on any vehicle. I don't even want to think about how pissed I would be if I found one on a convertible top.

I have cats on my convertible, but I'm considering changing to an off-road Y.

i like animals, but cats sharpening nails on my convertible top is not acceptable..
i'd probably just cut up a large cardboard box to drape over it just right.

The OP is talking about cats, as in the animal, not catilytic converters.

I like cats, but if there is one on or near my car I'm pissed. Tell your neighbor about the problem and tell them action might have to be taken against the cat if the problem continues. If they like the cat, they'll understand.

The title of this thread smelled like an opportunity for comedy.

Glad it worked for you, Johnny LT1.
