Production numbers
Does anyone know where i can find how many red, tan top tan interior 2000 z28's were built? I've only seen 1 other one like mine and it was in North Carolina.
Thanks,
Matt

heres a couple things I found:
http://www.camaro-registry.com/production.htm
http://www.motortrend.com/used_cars/...ons/index.html
I used to have a link saved for build specs, but I lost it, sorry. I know that mine is 1 of 234 black 6 speeds built in 2000.

I rarely see this color combo. I always look since I have one. Mine is called Taupe with taupe interior according to the window sticker. It is basically tan. I saw one in Charlotte for sale and it had about 50,000 miles on it back in '06. Most reds I see have black tops. With the low numbers produced for verts you can almost be assured you have a rare one. I figure about 100 ever built on the T/A side, not sure of the Camaro but probably close.
My car started out as a red with tan top grey interior 2000 SS. It now has a black top, black and tan interior. The build sheet I have only showed the interior color and the exterior, no detail about the top color it was built with. What can I say I didn't like the color combination. Especially the tan top with grey interior?
Speak of the devil, there is a 2001 T/A with this color combo for sale on ebay right now with 58,000 miles. Sounds pretty decent too at $13,800 I believe. Stock and most likely not abused.

I researched my vehicle data several years ago and could not come up the tan build # but you can probably take a good stab at it. This is for year 1999. total=4,817 convertible =800 vert/6sp.=365 vert/6sp/red=74 so out of 74 I would guess that about 10 were tan. In 2000 I have 802 listed as vert/6sp. So using the same % you are about 1 of 23 ==
Not an ironclad fact, but a good rule of thumb is 10% of convertibles are tan top.
Most all are black top.
Ultra rare is white top (my favourite with white leather interior).

About 1,575 were SS cars, no break down on Z28 cars.
902 of the convertible cars had the 56T neutral top.
16.9% of all Camaro cars were Red in 2000.
About 9% of all 2000 Camaro cars had Neutral leather interior.
About 7,000 of the 20,400 LS1 cars were SS cars and there were 254 B4C Police cars. I guess that means there were about 13,000 Z28 cars.
That's about the best you can break it down.
With the SS cars there's a better break down.
